Chicken Lysozyme C (LYZ) conjugated with Albumin Signal Peptide
Our part can be transformed into yeast for the production of mammalian lysozyme. Chicken lysozyme C (LYZ) has been shown to have high catalytic activity against gram-positive bacteria, hydrolyzing the peptidoglycan in the bacterial cell wall. The albumin signal peptide is optimized for lytic enzyme secretion in yeast expression hosts. By granting ethanologens, like yeast, the ability to secrete lysozyme, this part can be used to simultaneously decontaminate broths while carrying out fermentation.
